Welcome to River Tree House, a modern charming Guesthouse nestled along the Onrus River in the picturesque village of Onrus. This delightful accommodation offers a serene escape out of the city with birdlife on the river. Set against the backdrop of majestic mountains and the sparkling seaside, a lovely 8km walk to the Onrus's popular beach and its quaint tidal rock pool. The house is surrounded by lush flora, including vibrant indigenous flowers that bloom seasonally. Nature enthusiasts will relish the abundant birdlife and the occasional sighting of mongoose and porcupine. Whether you’re unwinding on the deck with river views or exploring the tranquil area, River Tree House provides a perfect blend of comfort and nature, making it an ideal choice for a memorable getaway.

We have two Braai areas, one on ground level deck and one at Splash pool deck downstairs.
Enjoy a moment of tranquility in our lovely garden as you watch for Sunbirds and various other bird species
Relax on the deck at the Splash Pool that can heat up with gas while you do birdwatching, read a book or enjoy your cold drink, cocktails.

There is two wooden decks ideal to do yoga in the mornings
River Tree House leans itself to be an excellent wellness retreat. Do some yoga on the deck or on the riverbank, take an 8km stroll to the beach and have a cold plunge and coffee at "Davies Pool", go cycling in the "Heaven and Earth Valley", have a massage with a view on the river.
